Hi,
You are doing nothing wrong, the time limit for editing posts is set at 15 minutes. This is ample time for people to go back and correct spelling/grammar errors and change the text if necessary.
We used to allow post editing to occur at any point, however we had several problems with people abusing the system and deleting entire posts or part of posts. This resulted in the thread not making sense and/or posts that were dubious and a complaint had been made were removed before they could be look into. Sometimes the editing was done week/months after the post was created
If you notice an error after your 15 minutes are up, then just PM one of the Mods and they will be more than happy to correct it for you.
