I work from outlines or sketches that ultimately develop into complete stories. Today I was looking through some old notes for finished stories and was amazed at how much I had edited and re-worked the story when going from the original to the final. Whole sections were cut or added. Characters resolved into different types that I now remember never thinking about.
Was wondering if anyone else goes through this process. Do you think you sometimes take away too much? Put too much in? Go in a good direction thanks to a happy accident?
