elric of melnibone on cd--any advice?

i see this book is now available on cd with sound effects and etc..
i havnt read the book-but it sounds similiar to fitz s story in robin hobbs books as the hero is not a superman and bad things happen to him
any advice on buying the cds

I really would not say it's like any of Robin Hobbs books. Elric books are VERY dark and twisted tales.

So true SW, very dark, Elric has a real problem dealing with himself and keeping his sword in check. Such is the life of an eternal champion.

Classic stuff from Moorcock. I recommend the read, although I would be intrigued to hear the audio cd to compare it to the books.
