End Of An Era

Fate

New Member
As a lover of all things space related I'm desperately sad to see the end of an era as the 30-year shuttle programme is speeding towards closure. The launch of Endeavour on its 25th and final flight (having made a cumulative distance in space of 166 million km), marks the penultimate shuttle mission. Atlantis will have the honour of being the last when it is launched on mission ISS-135 in early July.

*ISS - International Space Station.

NASA - Space Shuttle

I didn't realize that there was one more launch. It's sad to see it being retired. I remember watching the very first shuttle launch on TV when I was in grade school.

I wonder what NASA is going to do with their spare parts? I'd love to have a heat tile.
