Epic sci-fi on Kindle?

I just finished Poisoned Star by Josh Tremino. It was an epic sci-fi novel about this girl who commands an unstoppable warship. She is forced to fight for an alien species until a hacker sneaks aboard her ship and helps her access memories of her life before she was taken.

Does anyone know of any other good epic sci-fi novels? I'd like to find something else like Poisoned Star, but I'm good with any suggestions.

A girl who commands an unstoppable warship? Too Mary Sue for me. Plus I am wary of self-published stuff where all the reviews are 5 star.
