Just found the Book Forum today, and thought it looked rather interesting. I'm a mad keen reader, and used to work in a bookstore, so know exactly what Amy is talking about. The worst thing was when the staff could have accounts!!!
I'm reading a new book by Sally Morrison at the moment, and am reviewing it, so won't comment on it here until it's out. Otherwise, I've been reading lots of books about adoption and reunion, as I'm an adoptee. Before that was reading the memoirs of V S Pritchett and they make me want to find his short stories. Favourite authors are William Faulkner, Janet Frame, Don Delillo, Michael Ondaatje, Jane Austen, and several others.
