Graphic Novel I guess...?

I'm new to comic books/graphic novels and I was wondering where to start. I'll list some things I'm interested in and any help that runs along those lines would be helpful:

I was wondering if there are any graphic novel/comic books that are based on any RPG games, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger...etc.? Or anything else along these lines

Also I remeber watching a show called Cowboy Bebop? or something like that and it seemed like a show that might have some kind of comic book series. Are there any comics for this show?
