Has Anyone Read Before We Were Heroes: Southern Fires? What Did You Think?

I'm interested in reading more nonfiction memoirs that explore real-life experiences in demanding professions. I especially enjoy books that combine authentic storytelling with historical insight and give readers a better understanding of wildland firefighting. Personal accounts often reveal details and perspectives that aren't found in traditional history books. Before We Were Heroes: Southern Fires recently caught my attention, and I'm curious if anyone here has read it. I'd appreciate hearing your honest thoughts about the writing, historical accuracy, and overall reading experience before I add it to my list. I'd also love to know what you think of the author's storytelling style, Bill Beebe.
