Having a Publisher is it !#@!@#!@ WORTH IT!

How is everyone on here? Any marketing tips you use for your books? Also, Any self published authors on here and how are you doing without a Publisher? I have one, however, I'd like info from you guys on how your sales are going without one.

A few things. First, welcome to BAR.

Unfortunately your publisher is more of a vanity press that you have paid to publish your book. Given that it is already done there are a few things to understand. With these kinds of publishers, you do all the promotion yourself. That can be through Twitter, Blog Hops, Goodreads, and Facebook. Other ways are having bookmarks made with your books ordering information on them and leaving them in coffee shops, etc. Another way is to read children's book blogs and find reviewers, query them about getting your book reviewed.

As for book awards, that is again something you are going to have to do yourself. Google, children's book blogs and Writer's Digest are ways to learn about different awards and how to go about submitting your book.
