I'm making a list of books I've read, and I remember reading a book about 3-4 years ago, but the problem is I don't remember the name of the book or author. I remember that the book was about a 12 year old boy named Dan, who has an adventure with some evil woman. Half of the book is based in the past in Maine, where we see the story of a slave guy. I remember that Dan had a little sister, and the end scene takes place on a rooftop.That's all I remember about the book. It would be superb if someone helps me out with finding what book this was.
