I agree with Ashlea. I have purchased several antique hardbacks from ebay at good prices even with shipping. Since I like hardbacks, I can find even recent novels at a good price. We only have one used book store here in Toledo, Ohio, and he gets a lot of his books to sell in the store on ebay! I don't mind used books. In fact, I kinda like 'em. They are already broken in and have a "softer" feel to them.

I buy the majority of my books from charity shops and car boot sales. I've come across many a good author this way and I'd rather pay 50p for a book I might not enjoy than £6-7. I only buy from a bookstore if I'm after a particular book.
