I am John Sullivan is refreshing. I can't find anyone else who has read it aside from my wife, but I want someone to talk too about it, lol. It is extremely vulgar, violent, psychological, and at times humorous. If you are looking for something unique with an edge to it, I would check it out. It reminds me of American Psycho, Post Office, Hannibal Lector... and something else.
John Sullivan is a mechanic with some type of personality disorder that causes him to abduct people and mutilate them. He struggles with trying to be normal, body image issues, alcoholism, and love of all things. Its so hard to describe the book. Again, it is dark, but you find yourself approving of John Sullivan more often than not. He does have a "code of honor" of some sort.
