I read a book earlier this year and loved it, but now I can't remember what it's called or who the author is and I was wondering if someone could help me.
It's a science-fiction type book. The main character is a teenage boy, about 16 or so, and he's in the hospital for something. He wakes up (not knowing why he's there) and the doctors have pistols and are talking about him like he's not there. He looks down and sees that there's some type of mechanics inside his stomach. The people are talking about him being some type of experiment or android.
Eventually he breaks out and he and a woman try to stay away from whoever is trying to get him, flying to Spain towards the end of the book.
The first line of the book is "I never could cry" or something similar and the book also ends with that line.
