Over time I've picked up maybe 3 or more odd books by Lin Carter (cheap price, excellent condition and an interesting cover as much as anything). These have gone onto the backburner for later reading. One that comes to mind is called 'Callisto' from a series (same cover art as early Farmer Riverworld books interestingly enough).
Honestly I've not had time to read any and don't know a thing about Carter's books.
So I'm wondering are there any particular works by Carter that are particular standouts? Or is it so-so stuff that has not withstood the test of time? I've browsed the top 100 lists time to time but don't recall seeing the name there.
Thanks for any input.
