J.R.R. Tolkien: The Children Of Hurin

I'm a little bit confused. I read the Silmarillion and loved it. And i was wondering whether its worth reading this book. There seems to be mixed reviews!

Certainly i dont want to get it just for the pictures, but i think the story woven into a novel style rather than a historical narrative appeals to me.

Should i get this book?

I'd say yes. My husband went to a reading in London and managed to get me a copy signed by Christopher Tolkien, Alan Lee and Bernard Hill !! It is one of my most treasured possessions and also proved to be a very good read. I know the story very well from the Silmarillion and the History of Middle Earth books and still enjoyed it enormously.
