Kobo Abe?

I think this thread is more or less sci-fi. Has anyone here read anything by Japanese writer Kobo Abe? He was active from the 50's up until his death in the early 90's, I believe. His books are relatively hard to find, at least around here at least. I've only ever managed to find one, Inter Ice Age 4, a really good serial novel from 57-58 (I think) about a Japanese scientist's attempt to create a computer that can predict the future. It was a bit out there and looking back from the digital age a bit silly in places, but still an excellent book. Here's a link to the wiki on him...

His books are relatively hard to find, at least around here at least.
