Subtitled The Uncensored History of the Porn Film History, this is a crash course in the history of porn as told by the people who were there. This book sprang out of a Court TV special, about the investigation by the government and federal agencies into porn, of which Legs McNeil was a major contributor. Linda Lovelace and Deep Throat, the government war against porn, specifically the MIPORN probe in the late 70's, the Traci Lords scandal in the mid 80's, and the John Holmes/Wonderland murders all get major coverage. The history pretty much ends before the internet boom in the late 90's, but the HIV outbreak from the same time period is covered. A compulsive and easy read for those interested.
