Looking for title of a book about a man who had his lower body amputated at the waist. Was frozen woke up years in the future found he had been cloned was unhappy refrozen reawakened to a far distant future where most of humanity was living in domed citys with a realitive living outside that was thought to be animal life form. A space ship returns to earth in the end that was sent from here on a seeding mission to other planets.
There was also an old man who had been the result of experements in extending lifespans and a computer what was carried named I think Pik.
