US. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is advertising his autobiographical : My Grandfather's Son
One of the interviews he gave ( C-Span Network ) he talked about the writing process. Most of it done himself, especially the editing. He put an emphasis on getting it right, and not having anyone tamper with what he called important elements of text.
To me just another example of what I think is a distorted industry that doesn't have most of its priorities straight. Obviously being the man he is and not just another hack off the street peddling a book about his life who would gladly embellish ( James Frey ) for dollars $$$.
But I guess he can get away with doing things his own way and when it's all said and done - it goes right into publishing and on the market for all to read.
Isn't that interesting.
