you can't even compare the two. jordan isn't on the same level. i've read all of jordans books and i agree that in the beginning the wot series was good, borderline great, but that isn't the case anymore. it's more like ok borderline i'll not read another one. i skim 1/3 of his books as it is. and the only parts i really read are the rand and matt parts. i don't even care about the others. tolkien is great, no question. i've enjoyed some fantasy more than tolkien(some of terry brooks, george martin and a few others), but jordan isn't one of them.
