Poetry Means Nothing
Poetry means nothing
because people pass it by
as soon as they see the poetic form
on the page. Actually,
more like it,
poetry means
"ignore"
because a text in the poetic structure
seems to be automatically ignored,
even when
it is a simple declarative statement
that can be read as ordinary
narrative,
as this narrative in poetic form
is.
