Question about Foundation series and other question about sci fi novels!

Are there lots of battle scenes in Asimov's Foundation series? And can anyone recommend any good sci fi books that have futuristic war scenes.

It's been a while, but I recall that the Foundation trilogy was more about politics and intrigue. I would say The Forever War is better for battles.

Ok, I've had a look of that book on Amazon. It seems to have gotten very good reviews, but not many people have answered my question in their reviews. Does the book contain lots of action sequences?

It has battle after battle until it's almost tiresome.

As for Foundation, I'm almost sure it has no battle scenes, but if someone remembers otherwise, feel free to correct me.

Well I can remember reading on imdb someone saying that if they were to make the foundation series into a film franchise, it would focus more on the battle scenes.

I agree with Mari. I don't remember any battle scenes in the Foundation series. I also read them a long time ago, so maybe of just forgotten.

If there were any, they weren't a major part of the stories.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is a classic, and deservedly so. It's about this boy who trains in a outer space Battle School from a young age, learning how to become a military genius who can defeat invading aliens. It's got lots of mock battle tactic discussions, and real battles as well. The characters are really great and the story moves along at a good pace.
