R.J Ellory, anyone?

Has anyone here read any of Roger Ellory's books?

I am currently listening to an audi-CD version of his "A Simple Act of Violence" which is better than I expected it to be (was persuaded to try it after my daughter received a copy from 'himself')

I'm also curious whether anyone has read Ellory. Just bought A Quiet Belief in Angels after having heard good things about him.

Didn't he win crime novel of the year award for A Simple Act of Violence?

Ellory, the author of A Quiet Belief in Angels and a Simple Act of Violence, tonight apologised for the "lapse of judgment" after he faced a deluge of criticism from fans and rivals.

He admitted he had used fake identities to write about his own work on the Amazon book site, giving himself five star ratings. He gave his rivals bad reviews and low ratings using the same pseudonyms.
