Electric, I suppose, since it's cleaner (and more versatile)... but it doesn't really matter. Gas, electric, wood-fire, whatever it takes to get the pot hot and the water boiling.

Shower. Baths take too long to fill, and by the end you're sitting in luke-warm water polluted by mild surfactants and your own filthy skin. I do not like baths.
