I like reading about sex, rape, dying, killing, and all that dirty stuff. I find it all very exhilarating. They are all things I've wanted to do at some point, but of course I chose another option. Call me shrewd.

What I really hate is perfect characters. Give me characters who hate waking up every morning, even though they dream nightmares. Give me something I can relate to.

And I hate too much detail too. Give me the facts, cold and harsh, like a dark brew.

BTW: What teenage woman in her right mind would turn down Kobe Bryant? Sure, she goes to his hotel to get rocked, and Kobe rocked her. Then he rocked back to his wife. Then this teenage woman - an attention whore - starts up this case out of jealousy.

The charges on Kobe were dropped - because they were unfounded.

Look at Kobe's wife. She is hot. Kobe can get any woman he wants. He's charismatic, rich, tall, handsome, and everything else. Why would he need to rape this young woman?

That is an absolutely disgusting view. I would, I don't know him, this girl did, she said "No!", and many other girls would, I'm sure. Just because you find Kobe irresistibly attractive does not mean that every other person does also.

Sure, she goes to his hotel to get rocked, and Kobe rocked her.
Huh, interesting. I didn't know the word for 'raped' was 'rocked' in America.

Then this teenage woman - an attention whore
You absolutely disgust me. Listen to yourself - a /teenage/ woman. A /teenager/. And you call her an attention whore because she got raped? I think that the more pressing issue is that there are /teenagers/ getting raped by far older men - famous ones at that - and nothing is done about it, because god forbid the Lakers (or whoever he plays for now) lose their star player.

- starts up this case out of jealousy.
Hmmm.. I don't know about you, but I find rape to be a more pressing issue than jealousy. But you know, maybe that's just me and my crazy, far-out ideas.

Look at Kobe's wife. She is hot.
And that matters.. how?

Kobe can get any woman he wants.
No he can't, the problem is that he thinks this also. This girl did not want him, and so he has no right to force himself onto her.

He's charismatic, rich, tall, handsome, and everything else.
You appear to me to be nothing more than shallow and materialistic. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe some people want more than that? And frankly, how do you know if he is charismatic? Have you ever been hit on by Kobe? It's a put off that he is rich - most rich, famous people are stuck-up a-holes. I'd prefer a shorter guy because I'd hate to have to stand up on my tip-toes just to talk to them. And I really don't find him to be handsome.

I'm not alone on this - many other women don't feel the need to fling
themselves at him whenever he walks past, and what makes you so sure that this "attention-whore" was not like me?

Why would he need to rape this young woman?
I think that it is more pressing to find out why he /did/ rather than finding out why he /would./

My views are only as radical as those claiming him to be guilty when he has been committed of nothing. I call it the hook, line, and sinker technique.

Yet he has not been put before a jury and claimed innocent? Then how is it any different to claim that he is not-guilty?

Monkeycatcher

It's exactly the same and that's the point. The real question is: Why are you pestering me and not those who claimed him guilty earlier?

Cretin said:

I would rather say debating than pestering..

And I'm "pestering" you mainly because I skimmed over the others and yours was the one that stuck out to be the most ignorant and downright disgusting. There was no way I was going to let that one go without a comment.

MonkeyCatcher

Are my views "ignorant and downright disgusting" merely because you do not agree with them? That sounds "ignorant and downright disgusting" in its own right. If anything, I should be respected for acknowledging a side of the story yet to be defended here.

"What teenage woman in her right mind would turn down Kobe Bryant?" I asked.

"No teenage woman would deny Kobe Bryant sex," I did not say.

You said it, honey! I agree with every word you said!

I call this "The Attack of the Women." :D

I'm starting to feel like the one being raped now!
There's no fire in Hell as terrible as a woman's scorn.

I'm also quite offended that you have the nerve to insinuate that I'm not in my right mind because I'd turn Kobe Bryant down.

Nope, I'd say mainly because you call a girl, a couragous girl I might add, who, for once, does not keep her rape silent, an "attention-whore". I have never heard anything more piggy in my life.

If anything, I should be respected for acknowledging a side of the story yet to be defended here.
Respected? For calling a /teenage/ girl who claims to be raped an "attention-whore", and implying that Kobe was in the right because no woman can resist him? I'd say more like pitied or despised.

"What teenage woman in her right mind would turn down Kobe Bryant?" I asked.

"No teenage woman would deny Kobe Bryant sex," I did not say.
Turn down Kobe for what? I'm not sure if this is me and my whacked-out ideas again, but this reeks of " turn down Kobe Bryant for sex". But go ahead, tell us what you mean by that statement. What would a woman turn down regarding Kobe Bryant, other than sex? Keeping in mind that we were talking about a rape case, of course.

You insinuated that yourself, I'm afraid.

"What teenage woman in her right mind would turn down Kobe Bryant?" I asked.

If you are right of mind, which I'm not entirely certain of, then wouldn't you be one? I couldn't deny that.

You see? There you go. You weren't there, you don't know, but you're shifting blame to the victim.

As a former "hot teenager", one who was raped, I should mention, I cringed at the whole thing, knowing as I intimately do what men are apt to pull when the door is closed, and what they say about it afterward. And how other men turn on the woman and call her a "whore." I learned by the age of 16 to steer clear of the wealthy pillors of the community (dirty bastards) because who is everyone going to believe, REALLY? Those guys know how the cards are stacked. And who knows why they need to rape? It's a hostile aggression thing, effectively reflected in posts by their comrades in gender to forums devoted to the subject of rape (any rape).

The charges WEREN'T "unfounded." They were dropped after the woman's identity was revealed. You can't even imagine the hell of that kind of scrutiny.

There is no proof of an actual rape and Kobe has not been convicted of anything. It is every bit as possible that this woman created the case for attention and from spite.

Sure, you stand up for the female, but Kobe who has been accused of this whole act - and also brought negatively into the media - you could not give two shits about.

I did mean "turn down Kobe Bryant for sex," but I didn't mean that it was impossible for a normal female to turn him down for sex - merely improbable. And that is debatable and well impossible for us to even go on about rationally.

But damn this thread is getting intense.

christ. we really need to get to work on deprogramming you quick.

This statement seems more sexist than anything anyone's even said here so far, but luckily for you it is somewhat obscure. I've never raped a woman before, despite being in closed doors with plenty. Don't even go there.

I have sympathy for your experience, but that does not make Kobe a rapist. Sorry.

Hey, I'm the one who sees both sides of the story here. I'm not programmed - I just lean the opposite way as these folks. Neither side can even be proven wrong. It seems like I'm the only one who knows that much. Since the case has been disregarded, it's like the situation never even existed. We're arguing over fiction.

Neither does your knee-jerk defense of him based on what you THINK teenaged girls "want" (based on what?)prove his innocence.

BTW, teenaged girls want attention and romance, not a quicky while they're on break at work. Men who think teenagers are all hot for sex RIGHT here RIGHT now tend to have gleaned their impressions from Internet porn, I suspect. I would imagine she was thrilled and flattered because he was famous. That doesn't mean she wanted him to push himself on her.

And again, it is every bit as probable that this girl was indeed raped. I don't think that it is ok at /all/ to call a girl who is claiming to have been raped an "attnetion-whore". People like you are the reason that so many girls stay silent about their rape.

Sure, you stand up for the female, but Kobe who has been accused of this whole act - and also brought negatively into the media - you could not give two shits about.
Frankly, no I don't give two shits about Kobe. And why should I give the person I believe to have raped this girl two shits? Even one shit would be more than he deserved, IMO.

And also, you are implying that just Kobe was portrayed negatively in the media. Have you ever thought about the girl who was skinned alive not only by the media, but by every basketball fan in America (which basically means the whole male population). Poor Kobe, huh? I wonder how he coped.

but I didn't mean that it was impossible for a normal female to turn him down for sex
So saying "what teenage woman in /her right mind/ would turn down Kobe Bryant" was in no way implying that you thought that no normal woman ie a woman in her right mind, whould turn down Kobe? Again, this is extremely ignorant.

- merely improbable.
As much as you would like to believe it, majority of women in the world are not dying to jump into bed with famous people. Most "normal" women would prefer to stay with something more meaningful ie a husband or long-term partner.

And that is debatable and well impossible for us to even go on about rationally.
I believe that I stated my viewpoint on this perfectly rationally in my first post.

How the hell would you know what every single teenage woman in the world wants? You have the opinion of one, not the entire population.

Your opinion is no better than man, no matter what you think. Sorry.
