It's that time of the year!

Day 1: It isn't Christmas time until I hear this.

Holly Jolly Christmas - Burl Ives

Day 2: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing by Bad Religion

For a pretty religiously indifferent band, they sure did put out an amazing Christmas album.

Day 3: Merry Christmas Everybody - Slade

A special thanks to UK television for reminding me about this song.

Day 4: Scott Weiland died on Dec. 3 last year and I should have done this yesterday but I had a dumb and didn't think to do it. So have this uber ultra rare Stone Temple Pilots performance of "Christmas Time is Here"....

RIP Scott. You are missed.

Day 5

Friday night was our company Christmas party and the theme was "New York", they had a yellow cab inside the venue that had an advertisement on the top that said "Fairy Tale of New York", and the program had Christmas music. So did they play or sing Fairy Tale of New York? No, they didn't.

So here it is: possibly the finest Christmas songs in the past 30 years.

Day 6: Blue Christmas - Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst)

One of my favorite renditions of Blue Christmas.

Day 8: Merry Christmas Baby - Southern Culture on the Skids

I love this version.

Day 9: Winter Wonderland - Reverend Horton Heat

Rev Horton Heat's Christmas album is one of the best ever!

Day 12: Last Christmas - Manic Street Preachers

You were expecting Wham!, weren't you?

Day 18: Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - Reverend Horton Heat

And with the bonus of Bruce Springsteen's version:
