Sundown Towns by James Loewen

Well, I did not see a thread started on this one already. I found this book very interesting. It is about towns which have purposely kept themselves all white for decades, and there are many more of them than you think. It questions not only the past, but the perceptions which people still hold about race and the elite nature of certain all white suburbs.

I know several people have read this, so I figured it deserved a thread. Interesting book about a little known (or little spoken of) subject. It will make you think about your own ideas about your 'ideal' community.
