I am an aspiring writer who is currently writing a Sci-fi eBook series. This being the first in that series. It is aimed at people who have read, watched, and played a fair amount of science fiction and are quite used to the tropes and cliches that go with it. I intend for the series to poke fun at many of these tropes and cliches while exploring a variety of subjects and things that are often taken for granted.

Blurb:
You have a starship, a rag tag crew of a variety of alien races and the uncommon urge to not starve to death. That was life for the captain of the independent light freighter the Fable Star, that is until he and his crew accidentally saved the life of the Emperor of one of the more evil empires in the galaxy and his son. Now faced with the sudden favor of the cruel military dictatorship and fame with the general population, the crew of the Fable Star decide to go on vacation in the hopes of getting some much needed rest and relaxation. But their hopes are quickly dashed when conspiracy and war decide to also go on vacation. This book is the first entry into an episodic adventure of survival in a harsh galaxy where the only things you can trust are your starship, your crew, and a pistol by your side.

I am almost done writing the third episode in this series, and am thinking of having some sort of free promotion for its release. Though I am not sure if I should have the promotion include both the first and second episodes, or just one of them.

It was actually suggested by a friend, because the crew of the starship is made up of aliens that resemble animals such as a feline, a rodent, and a monkey. And it just seemed to fit.
 
Finished the first draft of Episode Three, now just putting some final touches on it. I am thinking of offering the second episode for free when I release the third.
 
That moment when you realized you accidentally included a chapter from the next Episode and it actually works so well you decide to just keep it in this one.
 
I love the feeling that you have days before your release deadline and you frantically go over your finished draft desperately trying to find anything misspelled, anything left out, anything wrong that has to quickly be fixed before release. Ah, what a feeling.
 
That moment when watching another episode of Orphan Black is almost as important as finishing writing a chapter. Hm.
 
That moment when you are writing lines for a cyborg octopus and you abruptly stop and ask yourself what the crap you are doing.
 
And then suddenly, cyborg mantis men! Hm, or women, come to think of it I didn't actually specify a gender. Crap, now I have to research the differences between mantis genders...
 
That moment when you want to kill a character off because it will help the story, but it almost seems like the character has taken on a life of its own and is doing everything it can to convince you to not kill it off. But that only makes you want to kill it off more for pure surprise value! Uh, not that I am planning on killing any characters off or anything... <_<
 
Ah, I have emerged from my writing binge and have finished the 4th and final episode for this Tales of the Fable Star series.

This has been quite a while ride of a writing experience and I can't believe I actually finished it.
