Anyone like this magazine? I just can't put it down, an excellent read with tons of information on anything and everything. They also have a neat *post & ripose* section on their website. Unfortunately, it's only able to subscribers, though I don't have that problem as I have a guest subscription....gotta love christmas. This month's edition has a great article by Paul Ellie regarding the death of Pope John Paul and gives a good behind the scenes account according to some *reliable sources.*

I was reading some of Thoreau's writings the other day, and he mentioned "The Atlantic".

I was reading Thoreau's "A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers" and it reminded me of Hemingway's short story "Big Two-Hearted River", one of his Nick Adam's stories. Both are so relaxing to read. I wonder if Hemingway was influenced at all by Thoreau.
