The Dark Light

Here is a set of lyrics that I wrote a few months ago. I won't give you any more explanation yet because I'd like to see what it all means to you first. Also, if you find the lyrics so offensively bad, please tell me and I'll see if I can remove the thread.

One quick point: I'm planning on these words being spoken over (or under) the music - not rapped though, just spoken regularly - somewhat how Slint's vocalist used to deliver his words.

The Dark Light

I left myself and I saw a bright light,
fading fast to dark.
"Was that it?" I thought, then
I saw a face - upside down,
"This is new"

I started all over again,
this time maybe better.
Yes, it has to be better,
it could not be worse than last time. Or...

The fading reversed and it all appeared.
Waking up, my eyes are covered in mist.
It won't move. Although it's still the same world.
I walk around, unseen.
The people don't stop, they don't stare.
"This is new"

The world reappears. Damn, it's the same world.
But, it's all black and white. I feel different.
Too many legs, not enough arms. I'm choked by the ground.
"This is new"

Unless! This is heaven! It's so beautiful.
The forests are living, the Sun is warm on their leaves.
The Sea is so blue, it's so perfect.
Nobody's heared of Love. It's just there - everywhere.

*sneaks in in disguise* These lyrics are absolutely beautiful. They moved me to tears! Doesn't every one agree? Come on, give this guy some support. ;)

i could feel de despair of the singer for being the only one feeling sorrow for that little squirel drowning :(

you life (generally speaking) was stretched in greyness, as if you were blind by a life, a superficial alcoholic and three-meals-a-day-like life, a whilring cloud.

as some invisible lightening piercied through an unknown field, your mind's eyes opened. at the same time, everything began to have colors. the trees which were green are really green, differen shades of green; the sun you thought was always the same white sun is as colorful as the little girl's ribbons. and you know what fills your heart and you know what a life is like with LOve.

my interpretation. anyway, could be wrong. :)

Water Crystal (and Mr. Michel), thanks for commenting. :D

Your interpretation is right (for you), but it's different to my intention.

Basically, it's narrated by a guy who has died, and the four scenarios depict where I thought we might go after we die (not all at the same time though - we go to one of the four options). I don't agree with myself anymore though, but I'll tell you what I thought I meant anyway.

1) We are reincarnated in a parallel universe as a human.

2) We end up as a spirit (ghost) in the same world.

3) We get reincarnated in the same world but not as a human. In this case, the guy is a dog. I had an idea that we couldn't be reincarnated as a human in the same world.

4) We basically end up in our heaven.

So if you read back through the lyrics, and think about those points in turn, they will correlate with the different scenarios and you'll have an idea of what I meant when I wrote them. I'm not necessarily correct though. Your interpretation is perfect (for you).
