Saw Troy last night. Ugh. For one thing, why does Brad Pitt seem overdubbed for the whole thing? He practically needed subtitles.
And does every movie with a battle scene have to be so Crouching-Tigerish? People flying through the air at weird speeds and pirhouetting 20 feet above the ground and all that. That must stop! No longer can you trust actors who say they do their own stunts. The special-effects crew just picks them up and throws them around. Crouching Moviestar, Hidden Techie.
And then the whole thing is wrapped up in this All My Children love drama, complete with fuzzy focus and meaningless glances.
And the scenes of approaching boats were obviously filmed in Pitt's bathtub and tarted up.
