Two books containing boars

Hi,

I cannot remember the two novels I read in the eighties that featured a boar pendant (later two boar pendants when twins were born). The first pendant was carved in the Anglo-Saxon era.

These books chronicled the family through to WW2.

Any help would be appreciated.
