It's a dark fantasy novel, good mean characters and interesting magic

Was Flowers for Algernon the one that was made into the film Lawnmower man? Or am I wide of the mark?


Consider Phlebas was good - not read the rest..... any synopses?

Flowers from Algernon was made into a film called Charlie (Charly?). I'd never heard of it til i read the book, but it won oscars (best actor i think.)

Guess the basic premise isn't too dissimilar to lawnmower man - if you take out the technophobia and randomly amoral baddie
