Hi Class-
Good job, you found our post!

We are about 1/3 of the way through this story of winter survival.

What are your thoughts on the story so far?

What do you think will happen?

Most importantly, from what we have read- would you suggest this book to other students/teachers? Why or why not?

;) Remember this discussion is open to the general public for them to give us input on the book as well so this should be interesting and fun! You should read your classmates posts and can reply to them but stick to your opinions on the book WITHOUT being rude to eachother.

Hi Everyone!

I'm an English teacher in Korea. I'm from Canada.

I taught my students Hatchet, and I also read Brian's Winter, The River, and Brian's Return.

I think this is a great idea that you are doing.

I'm very interested to read your responses and to participate if I'm welcome. I teach ESL, so I'd like to see how native speakers of English respond to Paulsen's books.

Thanks.

Tim

Hello from our Class

Hi,
Thanks for joining our forum! I am the teacher of the class and wanted to extend you a welcome. We are excited about having people outside of our classroom respond and communicate about the books we are reading. Brian's Winter has been a very interesting book. I think so far, the boys are enjoying some of the greusome facts of survival outlined more than the girls are. We will have to even the score for our next novel.
Ms. Fretwell
