I went off King for years but read The Stand and The Green Mile recently and both were spectacularly good.

I read The Dead Zone many years ago and I loved it. Its always been one of my favourite books and one of these days I think I will give it another read. Hope you enjoy it.

Then I shall continue. At the minute I am reading 'The Green Mile' and am totally hooked. I think thats always been my problem with King. When he is good he is brilliant, when he is off the boil he is mediocre.

Its the revised version and its my second try too. I just couldnt get enthusiastic about reading after a few pages. And it just doesnt make me want to try the next volume. While I decide I have started 'The Green Mile' which I cant put down. I am having a bit of a King phase at the minute and...

Please tell me that it gets better. Its only a short book but it doesnt make me want to continue much. By the end it became a chore to read. It began so promisingly too.

Just started the Gunslinger and enjoying it. I dont think I will read the whole series back to back though. I think my enthusiasm would fade if I did that.

Finally finished it today. Brilliant!!!

Sadly I am not getting to read as much as would like at the minute for one reason or another but I am past page 1000 and loving every second of it. Its actually renewed my interest in Stephen King. I havent read any of his stuff since 'Bag Of Bones' which was ok but not great in my opinion...
