Are you a nerd, a geek or a dork?

That's true, Denny, 91% is astonishingly nerdy, perhaps you could take a cue from some of your "normal" compatriots and spit on these results. On the other hand, you could take pride in your results and wear them as a badge of honor ... if my score had been extreme like that, that's certainly what I would have done.

Thanks Bren! Isabell, I think you're absolutely right! I've just done a comparison of the results here, and the results at the other forum that I belong to.

At the other site, 71% of the takers were 'Joe Normal'.
Here at TBF, 70% were nerds, 5.8% dorks, and 11% both nerds and dorks!

Denny, judging solely on the basis of your comparison study between the two forums, there can be no denying the plain facts. You really are the biggest nerd of us all! A compliment, it IS!

Pure Nerd
69 % Nerd, 34% Geek, 21% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!

Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in any of the following:

Yep, not me at all.

Last time I took this I was a dork. Now I'm a nerd... maybe I'm a dnerk?

For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd and Dork, earning you the coveted title of: Tri-Lamb Material.

The classic, "80's" nerd, you are what most people think of when they think "nerd," largely due to 80's movies like Revenge of the Nerds and TV shows like Head of the Class. You're exceptionally bright and smart, and partly because of that have never quite fit in with your peers or social groups. Perhaps you've realized, or will someday, that it is possible to retain all of the things that you like about being brilliant and still make peace with the social cliques around you. Or maybe you won't--it's really not necessary. As the brothers of Lambda Lambda Lambda discovered, you're fine just the way you are and can take pride in that. I mean, who wants to be like Ogre, right!?

Congratulations!

Thanks guys. You've made me feel almost normal again! Although I can't help but notice, that I still haven't found anyone who can compete with my whacking 91% nerdiness
Actually, you scored closer to normal than I would have expected for a little green bookworm.

You scored higher than 94% on nerdiness
You scored higher than 85% on geekosity
You scored higher than 54% on dork points
Modern, Cool Nerd.
Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)!
BOO-YAH!

Outcast Genius
95 % Nerd, 60% Geek, 65% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in all three, earning you the title of: Outcast Genius.

Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society wants of them, and they just don't care! They are highly intelligent and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the world. Typically, this does not include sports, cars or make-up, but it can on occassion (and if it does then they know more than all of their friends combined in that subject).

Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types of dorks and geeks, but they can also be the types to eventually rule the world, ala Bill Gates, the prototypical Outcast Genius.

Should I be worried, I wonder...
