Louis L'Amour

To the Far Blue Mountains was a great book and I can't wait to read the third book in the series. The Warrior's Path is on order, but even if it arrives today, it sits behind Code of the West by Zane Grey and Fair Blows the Wind by Louis L'Amour on my reading list.

I thought the book ended on a sad note, and I can't help but wonder if we will hear from the young stowaway that Barnabas put ashore with gold in his pocket.

Ah, isn't it nice to have so much good "Sackett" reading ahead of you. I envy you.
BTW, the library should have "The Shootist" ready for my pick-up in the next day or so. They are getting it from another branch and sending it to where I pick up my books.

So much to look forwart to. Life is good!

I hope you enjoy The Shootist as much as I did.

I finished Fair Blows the Wind by Mr. L'Amour earlier today and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This one takes place much to early to be considered (by me) to be a Western, much like Sackett's Land.

Kilrone was great, no doubt about it. I went to the library today and one of the books I brought home was Lonigan. I'm currently reading another work right now, but i'm lokoing forward to this one with great anticipation. I might make it a Louis L'Amour winter.:)

Your post is a few days too late. We took 177 books to the library and donated them. Among those books were 2 like new books by L'Amour, duplicates that I had. I would have sent them to you at no cost. I have his entire collection of everything he wrote in a matching set and will not part with them. A great writer, I miss him.

Everything he wrote was awesome , and Fair Blows the Wind was one of my favorites. Just a great story teller.
