What do you hate most about writing?

Other than an occasional sore behind from sitting too long at the computer...not a thing. When I finish a book, I go camping soon afterward, have a few beers, and do some fishing. :D

The best moment is when you finish the edits and realize IT'S PERFECT for that particular book. It's a weird feeling. For some strange reason, I always backspace over 'The End' and type it again. Doesn't make sense, I know. Maybe it's like some symbol of finality. (lol)

The blank page. It's horrible, it's mocking. Once you open with something half good on that blank page, the rest is flowers...

Finding time...

Scraping together little patches of time to write in between all the important stuff of life like my family, work, eating and sleeping!

That's the hard bit that I hate...

Writers Block!

ug! the one thing i hate about writing is the writers block you can get if you think to hard about a particular part in your story! cause for me, i have great ideas but its hard for me to put it on paper!

Time. There is no time! I have myriad ideas in patchwork form in my dream journal, but never have the time to expand them into more than that. When I do have time, the creative juices seem to stop flowing. It's kind of like stage fright, I suppose. Maybe it's that mocking blank page that does it.

I agree. It is the difficulty of getting started. So I sort of stalk around the idea or assignment, mentally of course, until I see some sort of sentence on that page in my mind. Then I can type it into the computer and that gets me started.

Looking at the blank screen is a turn off.

At the moment, for various reasons, not being able to do any meaningful work. It's frustrating to say the least.

when someone tells you exactly what to write (or how too) . I hate that, I want to write what I want and MY way. And of course when I can't seem to put down everything that's floating in my head...well not the way I wanted to.

I hate...

I hate when when I get stuck and delete the whole story and wish I didn't that and end up rewriting the whole thing about 25 times thinking it sucks...

I do that alot....

You shouldn't do that. If you think that it sucks, just open a new page to write on. and then compair the two of them. It will spare you a lot of time. Or you could also just let it rest, and look at it again a half an hour later, or a day later. It would be a shame if you delete something that was actually really good.
