David Baldacci: Stone Cold

I have a question about Stone Cold. How was Caleb's death explained to the authorities? Did I miss how this was resolved. Did Alex handle everything?

I just started this one last night. The comments about the end have me tingling with anticipation. Holy cow, I can't wait to get there!! I just love the Jerry Bagger character. There is a guy who needs his own movie. What a bad dude! I did enjoy The Collectors, especially with how it weaved different plots and problems with one another to make an interesting web of intrigue. So far, so good with Stone Cold. Will post more later.

Okay, just finished it. I have to say that the way that Jerry Bagger died was very disappointing. I'm sorry, but it was too James Bondish. A car careening over a bridge and exploding in mid-air? Please, how prosaic. That was a HUGE let down. I did like how Lesya and her son met up with Oliver Stone and their ensuing struggle against the feds. The deaths of Carter Gray and Simpson was a great way to end the book. I don't believe it was as good as The Collectors though. I would've loved to have seen Jerry Bagger make it into another bok, but all good things must come to an end I guess.

I finished this book and had the same thought, "great minds do think alike"
