Lady Gaga

She provides a catchy tune. Her videos are really weird, but others would argue that she is a "true artist" or whatever that is. So, is she an artist to be remembered, or a fly by night person whom we will forget about in ten years?

I hope we'll all have forgotten about her in ten years, but I hoped the same thing about Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Well, to quote an old friend, A million flies can't be wrong, garbage is good! (he didn't actually say garbage but then neither did he say it in English so my translation will have to do).

I actually sort of like the idea of Lady Gaga, even if her music does nothing for me. A pop star deliberately packaged as nothing but a pop star - no human behind it, just an image, even with hints that she acknowledges that it's a creepy idea. It's very Warhol. Or Gibson.

I don't care if she lasts, but right now, I f'ing love her. I love the performer/singer. I do think she's talented and I think she's a hard worker too. She's been touring straight for years. And her music videos are pretty awesome.

As for the person. She's young and a little naive. I picked up the Rolling Stone with her on the cover and read the interview. She makes no sense and contradicts herself constantly. I'll blame it on her young age.

Right now, she's fun.

Also, I'm seein' her show on Thursday. Whoo hoo!

I was going to post this in the random images thread but I think it works here.

We'll expect a full report back, remember: "How would Walter Cronkite report this?";)

She did piss off Fred Phelps, I guess that is one positive thing about her.:star5::flowers:

Yeah she's kind of fun, I'll give you that. But not enough for me to waste my time (or money) on her. I like music I can listen to, and she's more of a visual "thing".

Lady Gaga on why she avoids having sex:

“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina.”

To which Roger Ebert replied (on twitter):

Lady Gaga: People can only take your creativity from your vagina if you hid it there. "Warm....warmer...you're getting close"
