Does anyone else tend to identify people more by their avatars than by their names? Maybe it's more like 50/50 with me, but sometimes I start focusing on peoples' avatars and then when they change, it takes me a bit to figure out who they are again. It doesn't usually happen to me with people...
One of these days, I may change to another pic of the same cat. He's the cutest one because he often has a goofy look on his face.
My cats are all around the house too. This morning when I went downstairs, their food bowl was empty. So I was standing in the kitchen with four cats swirling...
In no particular order...
Mowed the front lawn. Cleaned up the backyard; raked leaves & pulled weeds. Hung a new storm door. Church. Cleaned up in the garage. Yelled at neighbor kids for picking flowers from rhododendron in front yard. Read a little. Salmon for dinner one day...
Supposedly a computer-generated kitty. Saw something about that at snopes.com. It also mentioned a Nokia ad, which I assume was the one where the cat gets its paw caught on the cat toy that is attached to the ceiling fan, then comes loose and slams into the wall.
As far as systems go, the Atari 2600 is pretty nice. You just have to be careful when you're playing Tank. Sometimes you'll be creeping along in your tank when suddenly you go zipping across the screen. It doesn't really detract from the gameplay, it just adds another level of suspense.
I used to have bunnies too!
I had one bunny, then got another. I had a total of twenty two at one time. Those suckers really do multiply! Luckily, they were pedigreed rex rabbits and people from the 4H club gladly took them off of my hands. That was the end of bunnies for me. Cats are...
Worked a lot of overtime this week and came home exhausted after having to work on a Saturday. So what did I do? I ended up digging up a flower bed to plant a bunch of geraniums, Gerbera daisies, and African daisies. I'll probably pay for it tomorrow.
The weather is really warming up. I...
Cowboy for me. Mainly because I picture myself riding across the plains and through the valleys, in the sunshine. I wouldn't be a rootin' tootin' shoot 'em up cowboy. I'd just be out there herding some cattle, or checking up on this or that. Then back to the homestead in the evening for some...
That was pretty f'n sad. Though I did laugh, then nearly cried. Poor kitty!
But what the heck was that?? At the end, the video zooms out to show the screen of a cellular phone which apparently played the video of the cat. Is it part of a commercial for a phone? I was watching it...
So, what do you do with it?
My brother and I always used to eat ours when we were in elementary school, while a lot of the other kids had theirs cut off or ate the bread and threw the crusts away. So my brother would always say, "You throw away your crusts?? I always eat the crusts and...
Same here. Some books are printed as if they didn't want to waste paper, using a really small font, lines jammed together as closely as possible, and words printed to within 1/16th of an inch of the edge of the page. I hate those because I feel like I'm getting nowhere due to the amount of...
Yeah, that's the way I do it too. It's a pain in the arse to keep having to put the knife down, grab the fork, then pick the knife up again. I wish I'd been raised by Brits.
I'd never cut my steak, etc. up all at once, because I'd be too worried about it going cold. A larger mass of meat...
Currently reading Apollyon, which is the 5th book in the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye & Jerry Jenkins. So far, the series has been easy reading and there's a fair amount of suspense which makes me want to keep reading and not put the books down.
I have the last book in the series on hold...
I work in the finishing/shipping department of a screenprinting company. My job involves occasional printing, but most of the time I (along with the rest of the finishers/shippers) just take the parts from the printers and do whatever needs to be done to prepare them for the customer. We do...
I was on a sci-fi kick for a while and bought a bunch of Asimov books. I managed to read about a third of them before I lost interest and now they sit there, neglected. I just try not to feel guilty about not reading them. I'm not going to force myself to read them now. Maybe someday I'll...
I prefer silence when reading, but that is often hard to come by. Though, this week my wife is out of town and my stepson is at his dad's. So I've been enjoying the silence.
Normally, if there's too much noise in the house, such as TV in the other room or someone talking, I'll slip on the...
