There was a time when Budweiser was ubiquitous in this country, but there's two ways to sell in this country:
1) downscale, one-size-fits-all, it's not good but it's cheap
or
2) Raise the price through the roof and call it "gourmet"
Budweiser has taken the first route, but there are...
Aside from the suspicously Republican name...what's your particular gripe with them...as opposed to say Adolphe Coors or Phillip Morris or Starbucks or...gee the list goes on and on! :)

And we can't forget Halliburton, Enron & Walmart!
Wow! That's pretty hardcore stuff! I think an intervention is required immediately! Tough love! Lock her in a room and make her go cold turkey!

Putting her down might be a bit strong...can't you put her in re-hab for awhile first and see if that helps?
Of course, the most evil and insidious marriage of Corporate America is Disney and McDonald's -- Disney merchandise available in those healthy and nutrituous "Happy Meals" at the...
Has the evil of Disney become as dominant in other parts of the world has it is here in the 'States? Here we have Disney.com, The Disney Channel, Radio Disney, The Disney Store, Disneyland, Disney World, Disney films, and in the city of Anaheim, there is even Walt Disney Elementary School...
Went yesterday to see "The Incredibles" with my daughter. It's a Disney/Pixar collaboration. If you like that sort of thing, you'll like this one, too.
However, it seemed to me the biggest reaction from the audience wasn't to anything in the film, it was the preview for "Star Wars Episode...
Fortunately, it's a rental -- so only two times so far this weekend! :)
Who decided Bryan Adams should sing ballads? :( There was a time when he was a not-too-bad, middle of the road rocker. But then that damn Robin Hood soundtrack came along and

The very first Dire Straits album is still one of my Top 10 All-Time favorites. It's a great start-to-finish listening to album.
But right now...
I'm being bombarded by Bryan Adams from the "Spirit" soundtrack (my little one woke up wanting to see it this morning.) :(

There's a wonderful hollow tree around the corner from the pond where the willow grows out over the water. That's the one I'd touch!
But I'll bet the crumbliest leaves would be found at High Gate Cemetry, right next door.
Crystal, this is a wonderful park in North London, if you ever...
Something someone said brought this one to mind.

Scared little girl,
Motherless child.
Red-rimmed eyes
And tear-stained cheeks,
Hiding in the reflection
Of a grown woman.
Across the years,
Their eyes meet.
And each asks
Woman/child
In an echovoice only...
Oh that early childhood conditioning! :(
Like, if someone says they love you, they are bound to leave you with a broken heart and a shattered soul? :(
Not that I know about such things!

DREAMS
have you ever dreamed you were flying? yes
have you ever dreamed you were falling? yes
have you ever dreamed you were drowning? yes
have you ever dreamed you were in a fire(or being burned alive)?
Beaten, bludgeoned, stabbed, shot, drowned and smashed against rocks, but not burned...
Books I've embraced in my misery have included "Wuthering Heights," "The Crying of Lot 49," "Tropic of Capricorn," and Anais Nin's "Fire" Diary. For a challenging way to spend your melancholic hours, I would suggest "Gravity's Rainbow." Of course, if you are miserable and under 18, better...
