Thank You, Nosferatu Man.....I know I've seen the name "Nosferatu" before.....Can't remember where! lol probaably a character in a book or some TCG card (I used to play Yugioh and Magic)
Five Favourite Books? Well thats pretty tough.
In no Particular order, they are
1. R.A. Salvatore's "Sea of Swords"
2. R.A. Salvatore's "Homeland"
3. R.A. Salvatore's "Transcendance"
4. Meg Cabot's "haunted"
5. J.K. Rowlings "Order of the Pheonix"
And, badlydrawngirl, What did you...
R.A. Salvatore's Homeland. The reason? Its actually a Fantasy books with Politics and a structured society. It may sound BORING but, the Drows (The Inhabitants of the city, Menzoberanazan, the story takes place in) find it normal to murder your brother to move farther up the family hierarchy...
Thanks for the warm Greetings.... :) lol
Oh yah, I may read alot of AD&D stuff, but I reallt don't have time to even learn the game. I work 7 days a week for 6 hours (Which ain't so bad) but I'm also still in university v.v So i have to Study. Maybe I'll learn over Christmas break!
I've heard alot of stuff about terry Brooks....Perhaps I shall check him out. And yah, I ahve read The Hobbit. I didn't find very much fantasy in it as Adventure though.
For me, personally, its
1.) AC/DC
2.) Bon Jovi
3.) Kiss
4.) Nickleback
5.) hmm....Don't really hae one. I hate alot of bands, but I only LOVE a few....
Just wanted to say Yo......I'm a HUGE fantasy fan, love RA Salvatore specifically....Some background info...hmm.....Lets see......I'm abnormally obsessed with AC/DC! lol Anyway, hey
Ok, I'll get straight to the point. My fantasy influence is generally confined to RA Salvatore, Garth Nix, Meg cabot, and Emily Rodda. I really think I need to find some new authors to read. Please help!
I would STRONGLY recommend Salvatores "Homeland".
P.S.: Don't mean to sound obsessed or anything (However much I may be, I deny it) but the books in the Dark Elf Trilogy, aka the begining to the Legend of Drizzt is Homeland, Exile, Sojourn (Its awesome Salvatores making all his Drizzt works...
1.) Sea of Swords -RA Salvatore
2.) Homeland- RA Salvatore
3.) Transcendance- RA Salvatore
4.) Haunted- Meg Cabot
5.) The Order of the Pheonix- JK Rowling
1. RA Salvatore
2. Meg Cabot
3. JK Rowling
4. Emily Rodda
5. Garth Nix
GreenMonkey- Your the first fan of Salvatores I've seen around here yet! (Which suprises me) Keep the trend going! lol
"Transcendance" by RA Salvatore. Why? Because this books tells about a Aboriginal country is taken over by a war mongral that leads the ever intimidating country of the Chezru religeon. After the country is taken over, a lone ranger, trained by the Elves returns to her country and frees them...
