    Computer or Reading?

I read a lot more than I spend time on the 'net, although being at Uni, I use the computer to do my assignments. Also, I use the computer at work. By and large, I spend far more time reading than I do on the computer. Priorities.

    One Fourteenth of an Elephant

Wow! What a book! Written by Ian Denys Peek. It's about his tale as a POW building the Burma-Thailand railroad. Fitting to have finished it today as it is ANZAC Day here. Has anyone else read this? If so, what did you think? I thought it amazing that he could make me laugh when...

    Mo Heyder

Jeffrey Deaver is an ok writer. I find him somewhat tedious and he's more hit and miss than any writer I've ever read.

    Irvine Welsh: Trainspotting

I found them good yet disturbing. Seeing it in a film was interesting. It isbn't glorifying drug use, if anything, it's showing how it turns you into nothing.

    Mo Heyder

Honestly, her three books are all good. Written by a mind much like a man's, I reckon. It;s always straight to the point, no romance, no ingratiating subjects. I like her writing. Let me know what you think.

    Mo Heyder

Finishing Tokyo. Have read The Treatment and Birdman. She's VERY interesting! A female writing about these sort of topics, the brutality, the chaos... used to that in male authors. What do you think?

    inside the actors studio

I have no idea who James Lipton is either! Also (stupid question alert!) is there a way to use the questions as a template or must you type them out again in your reply?

    Disagree with ending?

I have to include "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. It was a cop-out ending.

    Jeffrey Eugenides: The Virgin Suicides

I quite liked this book. I have it and read it over 3 years ago or so but I remember enjoying it. I haven't seen the movie as I am loathe to do that generally.

    How well read are you?

I've read 10s of thousands of books, but I don't consider myself 'well read'. I cannot quote from the Bible or from Shakepeare, or from Chaucer or from Homer, etc (beside the basic stuff everyone knows). I DO love reading and books and can talk about them for hours on end!
