    Stephen King: The Waste Lands

I thought Golden Compass was also good. I've been meaning to pick up Ender's Game soon.

    Stephen King: The Waste Lands

I never was a huge fantasy lover, and I hardly ever like heavy descriptions. But I can understand why some people like it :).

    Jeff Lindsay: Dexter is Delicious

You better hurry up and finish so I can read it.

    Stephen King: The Waste Lands

I give up on The Dark Tower series. The first half of the book was very good, but the second half is just descriptions of the land and the history of it. It's too much like a Tolkien novel sadly :(. Rating: :stars2:

    Dexter (Showtime Series)

Dexter is premiering the 26th while The Good Guys season premiere is on the 24th. October is looking to be the month of badassness.

The Dark Tower (film & tv)

I never finished The Gunslinger, and got halfway into The Drawing of The Three. I found both to be very boring, but I'm reading The Waste Lands, and it's good from what I've read.

    John Connolly: Every Dead Thing

Summary: Charlie Parker was a drunk. He left one night, and came back to a scene of a brutal crime....the murder of his wife and daughter. Now there is a new lead in the case picked up from a psychic, who "felt" the pain of a person who was killed in the same manner as his wife and daughter. The...

    Who reads books anymore?

I'm 16,and really started to read when I was 13(Thanks James Patterson, even though you suck now.) There is only 7 people at my school that I know love to read. It's sad :(.

    Last seen...

It'd be cool to have more female badasses in cinema. The only two I've seen with badass leads are the Alien movies and Kill Bill.

    Stephen King: Desperation

It started getting confusing for me when David started mentioning those foregin language words. I also hate that:

    Stephen King: Desperation

Summary: The desolate road of Highway 50 in Nevada is a peaceful place...until a killer cop decides to go haywire on 8 individuals and their families! It seems the only hope of getting out of this cops hands is David Carver,a very smart kid for his age. Only thing is, this cop doesn't seem...

What books have you read lately?

Desperation by Stephen King. Very weird novel. The cop spat out buckets of blood in his car,and was bleeding from every orifice of his body.

    Clichés In Fiction, Yuk!

Harry Dresden does that all the time. It's like a badass 90's or 80's movie.

    Jeff Lindsay: Dexter By Design

*Looks at calender* well, you're just in time. Dexter is Delicious hits stores next Tuesday. Getting my copy somewhere within next week( Although my brother gets it first ).

What do you think of the prices of new books?

I really think it's ridiculous. I have to wait a huge amount of time for new books to come into the library. The last time i checked out a book from the library that is fairly new, I had to wait 2 months. Most of the new books are way too high. Just about 40 bucks for hardcovers.

Dean Koontz: City of Night (Dean Koontz's Frankenstein, #2)

Carson O' Connor and Micheal Maddison are back with their vulgar sex jokes and awesome attitudes. The two of them have been targeted by Victor Helios(AKA Frankenstein) for destruction. Victor has given the objective to two of his creations, Cindi and Benny Lovewell. Meanwhile Erika Five is...

    Hello All

**** yeah! I also agree with you about James Patterson. The beginning of the Cross series is good, but it has deteriorated over time. I'm still a fan though, because Patterson got me involved in mystery,so it's a hard bond to break :flowers:.

Recommendation for new Fantasy Series please!

The Dresden Files. Very badass series. It's so badass, even the unicorns are blood-thirsty animals. It's about a wizard who investigates paranormal activity dealing with ghosts, vampires, other wizards, werewolves, etc. in modern day Chicago.

When should you throw a book away?

I had to throw away my paperback copy of Pet Sematary . I forgot it under all the textbooks in my book bag in my freshman year of high school. A lot of pages were ripped out and the cover was just a mess. Pained me to do so . I had to check out Pet Sematary from my local library to...
