Hi Zoleth!
I like that name. Zoleth. Zoleth. Heh heh, that's really fun to say. Zoleth.
You'll have to excuse me, I think it's time for my medication.
Welcome!
Hi Nicola!
I've been a member now for one full week, and I can honestly say, "What was I thinking?" :D
No, seriously, everyone has been very nice... well... so far... ;)
Anyway, welcome, from the smartass kid with the bad rep.
Raven, I read Peace Like a River a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. All the characters, the dad, Rueben and Swede, they all rang true to me. I loved the way he blended the spiritual aspect into the story. I can't wait to see what he does next either.
Btw- after I read it, I then...
This is a hard one. I have lots of favorites and I know I'm forgetting some but I would have to say these for sure:
The Kiss - Anton Chekhov
The Distance of the Moon - Italo Calvino
The Chrysanthamums - John Steinbeck
Plus, I like lots of recent ones I've read by Alice Munro, Charles...

And, I'm not familiar with the Nickelback reference...
Congrats to the boys! :D
Sounds like you did QUITE well! :)
Then that is what we'd give.. well, I guess I can only speak for myself, but I would hope ...
I don't know, I mean, I know how you feel. I've sat on that edge before, too. :(

Okay, what was the last music you bought or downloaded?
I'll start. Yesterday I bought Olivia Tremor Control's Dusk at Cubist Castle. It's not new, but I just now got around to buying it. Lots of bright, jangly psychedelic rock. I think it'll be great for driving in the car this summer with...
So, how did it go? Did your team win? How did YOU do? Please fill us all in.
You know, your answers to my questions about your novel only whetted my appetite...
(may I have some more, please?) :)
Writer, you can tuck it anywhere you like. ;)
And, no, I just wrote it as an answer to your post. So, it doesn't have a title. Since, it was for a writing exercise which you proposed and inspired, allow me to invite you to title it. I would be honored. :)
A FATHER TELLS HIS SON
Look for the one who
Glances openly at you across
The crowded coffee bar.
Look for the one who
Dances barefoot on the cool wood floor.
Like the free raven
Dark in her dark motion,
Look for the one who
Soars nightly across the memory of your day.
She is the...
And one more thing, Martin. Just because TMG comes across in her posts as smart, funny, intellectually stimulating and extremely talented, why would a guy want to hit on her? ;)
