I know they aren't meant as comedy books but i've always found Irvine Welsh's books laugh-out-loud funny. I think Filth was the one that I laughed at most. Probably features some of the most vile and despicable characters ever to grace book form but certain scenes and situations tickled me! :)
Read most of Cussler's work. Always thoroughly enjoyed them. He sure knows how to put together a good story.....if a lil' far-fetched and maybe a tad formulatic.
I've read quite a few Patterson books and while I loved them at the time, the more I read other books, the more I realised that they weren't as good as I imagined. But, if you're looking for something thats relatively easy to get into and flows at a fast pace then you can't really go wrong.
Hi there,
First post......but been browsing as a guest for a little while. Been looking for a good book forum on the net for a bit and this seems to be the one for me :)
Looking forward to hearing some good suggestions about new books/authors to read and maybe even making some as well! :D
