    I just finished reading...

A Home at the End of the World -- I saw the movie a couple months ago and I really liked it. The book is a lot like the movie, but (of course) there are differences. I shouldn't list them here since it'd probably be a spoiler, but I want to say that it was still a very good book. I liked how...

    Kill Bill I and II

I liked Kill Bill I and II. I thought the first one was sort of silly, especially with the fight scenes, but that's what I liked about it. It was bloody and interesting and I could still laugh along with it. Go-Go (the Crazy 88 girl dressed as a schoolgirl with the spikey metal ball on a...

    historical fiction anyone?

You didn't like Sappho's Leap ? Hmm...I only read it once a few years ago, but I enjoyed it...maybe it's just because I like Sappho's poetry though--or perhaps because I don't read a lot of historic fiction myself. I haven't read anything else by the author though....

    historical fiction anyone?

Sappho's Leap by Erica Jong is a very good book...I read it a few years ago when I went with my mother to Austin so she could take her massage therapy final thing. It's just the story of Sappho's life..I thought it was really neat. Here's the synopsis from the inside jacket: Sappho's Leap...

    I don't usually like these....

I don't usually read mysteries, but a couple of months back one caught my eye when I was looking around the local library boredly. It's called Bimbos of the Death Sun and it was a very funny book about a man going to a sci-fi convention for his book (Bimbos of the Death Sun) and a murder takes...

    Man on fire

I've seen parts of "Man on Fire"--it looked interesting, but rather long.... Then again, I saw parts of it from when I was working at a projectionist in a cheap theater, so maybe I was just worried about time.

:p Don't worry 'bout me--I'm not interested in being popular. I just wanna read and study and do geeky, nerdy stuff.

Has anyone ever read Tank Girl?

Has anyone here read the Tank Girl comics? I never have, but I liked the movie (which I think a lot of people didn't) and I've always wanted to read the comics but there's only one comic book store in this town and it doesn't have them.
