I wasn't sure whether to put this here, or in the short stories section, please feel free to move it! :flowers:

Given it’s the spooky season, I thought I would take a look at some ghost stories. This particular anthology is great, not only...
I've just finished reading the short story "The Body Snatcher" by Stevenson and really enjoyed it. I thought it was very atmospheric. I haven't read Jekyll though.
I do feel that the general atmosphere here is much friendlier than some other book forums I have looked at. Some really do tear into each other which just makes it a really nasty place to be. So BAR scores highly there.
I guess as a newbie here I am not sure what other members like to see...
I couldn't see a thread on this book, so if I have missed it, please merge as required. Thanks!
The Behaviour Of Moths is a darkly humorous book about family relationships and versions of truth. Ginny is an elderly lady living in a large rambling house that she used to share with her sister...
Is anyone a member of the Folio Society? I love the idea of these beautiful editions, but I was wondering what the full selection of books is like. Having said that I can already find more than 10 volumes I would like :D
Are the books as beautiful as they look on the website?
I have my blog, but I also have a really lovely notebook where I write down what I have read and more personal thoughts on it which I might not want to share on the internet.
I also have a "would like to read" list in my PDA. Very useful when you are in a shop and want to purchase a few books :)
I have been pondering this for some time, it's perhaps not the most desperate decision the world has faced, but nevertheless it is causing me some worry...
I have a set of books which have the same lovely binding... however, they are by different authors. They look lovely all lined up...
In the UK we have BBC Iplayer. Go to the BBC website (BBC - Homepage) and click on Iplayer. You can watch shows there. I am not sure if it works outside of the UK.
I re-read The Wind In The Willows By Kenneth Graham and The Dark Is Rising Sequence By Susan Cooper. Clearly both are books of my childhood and I re-read them when I need comfort!
