Just finished reading the relatively new Stephen King novel "Duma Key" and I LOVED it! Not one of his most "horrific" novels but the story is great! What is your favorite Stephen King novel?

Try the "Otherworld" trilogy by Tad Williams - Futuristic sci-fi/Cyber-punk

I have recently re-read this trilogy (2/3 of it). I love the first book "Otherworld" but I find myself getting bored about halfway through the second "River of Blue" fire.. Does anyone else find this? Myles

Just finished reading it, and was VERY surprised that I enjoyed it MORE than the original. If you like these sort of books I HIGHLY recommend "Sarum" by Edward Rutherfurd.

I LOVED Fast Food Nation, especially when it suggests that the "freshly cooked burger" smell that comes out of these fast food places, may well come from a Laboratory!

What about Philip Pullman's "Dark Material" trilogy?

I recently re-read Frank Herbert's "Dune" after a particular edition had a quote on the back page calling it one of the best sci-fi novels of all time, compared only to "Lord of the Rings" and you know what? I am tempted to agree. What do you think?

My favorite Steven King book is "The Talisman" co-written by Peter Straub...Again not one of the most "horrific" books I have read, but still a great read. P.S Sequel is "Black House"
